Cat’s best friend, Ashley Longan, played matchmaker. Jess finally reached out to Cat and sent her a friend request thanks to Ash’s persistence to look past the fact she was an Okie and reassuring Cat he wasn’t a “Dallas douchebag”. After a few weeks of good conversation and FaceTimes, Cat agreed to their first date in Tulsa, OK while Jess was in town for work. Jess took Cat to his favorite Oklahoma steakhouse, Bull in the Alley, where he decidedly fell in love in a night. 

How we met: 8/12/21

Jess & Cat consider their first date their dating anniversary because both of them never looked back from that day forward. 3 months later they went on their first vacation together, when Jess took Cat to Mexico for her 30th bday. 

Three years of dating: 2021-2024

A year after long distance dating, Jess decided to take the next step and moved in with Cat in Tulsa, OK where they have been busy building a home and life together with their dog, Roux.

Jess has been known to plan last minute vacations, so when he told Cat they were going back to PDC for a weekend away she wasn’t too suspicious. Jess took Cat back to their very first trip location in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico to surprise propose to her during a romantic dinner on a private balcony overlooking the ocean.

We have enjoyed many travels and adventures together, with our families, and with close friends over the last 3 years.  We fell in love with Costa Rica and are so excited to share this beautiful place with you all while we celebrate this next big milestone in our story together!

We have reserved a block of rooms at Cala Luna Boutique Hotel June 12-June 15th. Please use the link below to reserve your room with our code. This rate will expire on April 30th. We have arranged and paid for transportation services to pick up guests from Liberia airport to Cala Luna on Thursday, June 12th. More information to come for those would like to use this complimentary service! Alternatively, if you wish to rent a car there is parking available at Cala Luna Hotel, however Tamarindo is a very walkable beach town and Uber/hotel shuttles are plenty available. Cala Luna also offers an in house transportation partner.

Transportation to/from Liberia Airport

Several options available at airport and in Tamarindo. $40-50/day excluding taxes.

Car rentals 

Electric, 4 seater golf carts, with free delivery to your property/hotel. Pricing includes Free Delivery and Pickup in Tamarindo and Langosta $70/day. Cala Luna also offers golf cart rental and an in house transportation partner to move you around town.

- We've booked a private catamaran excursion in lieu of a rehearsal dinner for all our guests. - Boat pick up will be at 1:30PM in front of Chiringuito restaurant on Tamarindo beach. -We will arrive back to Tamarindo beach by 5:30PM for amazing sunset views.   - Please RSVP for this event if you plan on attending.

Provided: Lunch, full bar, life vests, pool noodles and snorkel equipment.Lunch: Menu will be provided soon! Expect meal to be served 2-3 hours into tour (around 4-4:30), so we recommend light lunch prior to boarding.Boat: 65' catamaran; does have shaded areas and tables available to escape sun.What to bring: Bring whatever you'd like to enjoy for a boat day! Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water toys, snorkels, coverups, etc. (TOWELS WILL BE PROVIDED)

Jess + Cat plan to go on a scuba dive excursion Monday June 16th. Any one is welcome to join on a guided scuba dive or snorkel, or just to boat ride! We will leave at 6:45AM and return to Tamarindo beach at 12:30PM.
